Description

Job Summary:
An ICU position is available in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves working in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with a focus on advanced critical care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with shifts being rotating day and night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical ICU in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift, rotating day/night schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Sunday, with potential for shifts on any day of the week
  • Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start; CCRN certification preferred; at least 2 years of unit experience; recent EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system experience within the past 2 years; prior travel experience; large, teaching facility experience required; must be open to potentially working every weekend; reliable transportation required due to local area transit limitations.
  • Additional Information: This role involves caring for patients with multi-system disease, including those requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ECMO, and ventilator management. The RN will be responsible for starting IVs, managing multiple titrating medication drips, and providing critical vent care. IVs will be offered by the employer. All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained, and complete work history details are required for submission.
