Description
Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery is sought for a hospital located in Farmington, New Mexico. This full-time night shift position involves providing high-quality care to adult and newborn patients within a busy regional childbirth center. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Farmington, New Mexico
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association; AWHONN (Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification renewed every 2 years; at least 2 years of experience with cervical exams, infant delivery, postpartum couplet care, nursery experience in a level 2 nursery or higher; practicing in a community hospital setting with a regional mission; charge level experience; familiarity with Cerner and Fetalink electronic health records; minimum of an ADN or BSN degree.
- Preferred Qualifications: Fetal monitoring, neonate stabilization, troubleshooting high acuity situations, good triage assessment skills.
- Additional Information: The unit has 17 beds with 2 triage rooms, following AWHONN standards, and approximately 75 deliveries per month. Equipment includes fetal monitors, ISTAT, and Freestyle.
