Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) positions are available in BATTLE CREEK, MI. These roles involve providing safe and quality patient care according to established nursing protocols. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position involves working night shifts and includes a schedule of 12 hours per shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ACLS required prior to first shift for CIRH only. Education requirements: current registered nurse license. No minimum years of experience are required, but a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develop individualized care plans, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. The RN will also be responsible for patient discharge planning, documentation, and supervision of ancillary staff. The role includes ensuring safety protocols are followed and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, initiating discharge planning on the day of admission, and maintaining effective communication with team members.
