Job Summary:
A Registered Professional Staff Nurse position is available in a psychiatric unit located in Belle Mead, New Jersey. This role involves providing individualized quality patient care by assessing patient needs through data collection, designing, implementing, and continuously evaluating the plan of care. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position supports inpatient behavioral health services, working under the supervision of the Unit Director and the leadership of the Senior Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Job Details:

• Location: Belle Mead, NJ
• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, three days a week, with every other weekend required. No holiday or on-call requirements.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate Degree in Nursing), New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and AHA (American Heart Association) certification. Minimum of 2 years of inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), 3 years of inpatient behavioral health experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate computer literacy, effective communication techniques with treatment team members, and the ability to care for adolescent, adult, and older adult patients. Knowledge of growth and development principles and cultural competence is essential. Experience in crisis management, medication administration, patient assessment, and therapeutic milieu is required. Also, familiarity with emergency codes, CPR, AED use, and incident reporting are necessary.
• Certifications & Licensure: Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, BLS, and AHA certifications.
• Languages: English (Read, Write, Speak)
