Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient infusion and oncology unit located in Lacey, Washington. The RN will support chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other non-oncology infusions for adult and geriatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lacey, WA
  • Specialty: Clinic (No Specific Specialty)
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0730-1600, with shifts possibly varying; work until the last patient is seen. No holidays or weekends. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as an RN, certification in Chemo (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)), Basic Life Support (BLS). Preference for Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). No minimum years of experience specified.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in outpatient oncology infusion centers, inpatient oncology experience considered, IM subcutaneous injection experience, therapeutic phlebotomy.
  • Responsibilities: Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusions; managing ports and central lines; monitoring for side effects and complications; patient and family education; charting and documentation in Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Additional Information: Must possess Chemo certification requiring hard stop for administration; no holidays or weekends work; references required covering 1 year (6 months for CNA), with at least 2 references during final compliance and prior to start.
