Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Hickory, North Carolina. The candidate will provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, supporting a diverse patient population from birth to death. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Hickory, North Carolina
  • Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours.
  • Required Qualifications: RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), and certification from the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). Experience in critical care thinking, stamina, and providing compassionate patient and family support in a high-acuity setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a fast-paced emergency department, with familiarity handling strokes, ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), and trauma cases.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit Information: 32 beds with a patient ratio of approximately 1-4 or 1-5.
    • Critical care equipment and Cerner electronic health record system in use.
    • The role involves helping hands in areas where the candidate has competencies, with some push-back hours depending on census.
    • Dress code is scrub, any color; hoodies and inappropriate T-shirts are not accepted.
    • This role is a contractor replacement position with one opening.
