A Behavioral Health Nurse position is available in Bangor, Maine, specializing in Pediatric Psychology at an inpatient facility. The role involves providing traditional medical and psychiatric care, along with specialized therapies such as group sessions and pet therapy. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in behavioral health nursing, including de-escalation and physical restraint procedures.

- Required Qualifications: 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience, ME State License, certifications including BLS. Additional qualifications include de-escalation experience, experience with physical restraints, medication passes, comfortability to run groups, and documentation skills.
- Schedule: The first week (Monday to Friday) involves day shifts; the second week consists of 12-hour shifts as scheduled.
- Float: Float rotation may be required between adult and pediatric units with management approval.
- Additional Information: Candidates are expected to work holidays in rotation, and MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) training is provided on-site during orientation.
- Support on the Unit: Nurse Supervisor available evenings/weekends, Nurse Manager during the day, and additional support staff as described.
- Charting System/Equipment: Cerner electronic health record system, Pyxis medication distribution system.
- Note: Support roles include Psychiatrist rounds, Nurse Practitioner availability, Occupational Therapist, and security personnel on-site.
