Description

Job Summary:
An Emergency Room (ER) Nurse is needed for a night shift position at an acute care facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing advanced emergency care to a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, within a dynamic ER environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
  • Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), PALS, NCC; current MO license or compact license required, license in hand at time of submittal
  • Experience: 2 years of ER experience
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, NCC; must have a minimum of 2 years ER experience, valid MO license or eligibility for MO or compact licensure, and previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing patients with abdominal pain, psychiatric conditions, burns, head injuries, respiratory issues, and trauma cases; proficiency in advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and management of multisystem organ failure.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum hours per week: 36
  • Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable handling a wide range of emergency medical situations, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, and behavioral health crises. A focus on patient safety, adherence to protocols, and effective interdisciplinary communication is essential.
  • Submission Requirements: Submit without license; license in hand required at time of submittal. Ensure license matches permanent residence unless updating is needed per protocol. Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required.
