Description
Job Summary:
This outpatient surgery center in Austin, TX is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position focused on day surgery outpatient procedures. The role involves working in a team environment with a schedule consisting of 10-hour shifts, including a combination of early morning and late morning shifts. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, TX
- Department: Outpatient Surgery (78677)
- Shift Schedule:
- 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- 10 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license
- Previous Preoperative (Preop) and Phase 2 Postoperative (Postop) experience
- Competent & comfortable starting IVs
- Experience in Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with wide variety of procedures including endoscopy, port placements, open heart procedures, and patient discharges from phase 2 recovery
- Schedule:
- Shifts as listed above, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Additional Information:
- Must work well in a team environment
- Ideal candidates are flexible, organized, efficient with time, and team players
- NO call or weekends required
