Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in the region served by the healthcare provider. This position involves delivering high-quality, coordinated nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting. The role includes supervising nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their stay.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in an acute care facility. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per the organizations policy.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred.
  • Essential Functions:
    • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation.
    • Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
    • Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
    • Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
    • Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
    • Identifies outcomes for the patient or their situation.
    • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver compassionate patient care.
    • Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members.
    • Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
    • Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
    • Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Additional Information:
