Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Cudahy, Wisconsin. The role involves providing high-quality care for adult patients with various medical conditions, including post-operative and chronic illnesses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license with Basic Life Support (BLS); one year of Medical-Surgical or Telemetry experience; experience with orthopedics, wound care, central lines, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV management, and patient ambulation; EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS (required for RN and CNA), ACLS (preferred for RN)
• Skills: Experience with patient management in telemetry and Medical-Surgical units, including NG tube placement, Foley placement, chest tube management, wound care, blood draws from central lines/midlines, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Support within the Department: Charge RN with reduced patient assignment, unit-based HUC until 1900, phlebotomy services, 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, daytime occupational, physical, speech, and trauma therapy, and centralized telemonitoring.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR (experience preferred), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, CPM, virtual monitoring equipment, ceiling lift.
• Float: May float to other Medical-Surgical units or areas including emergency room hold or intensive care units, but will only take a Medical-Surgical patient assignment.
• Orientation: One 12-hour shift on the unit to learn the workflow.
• Additional Information: 50% of holidays per contract, scrubs are to be solid color with no graphics or logos, free employee parking, positive and engaged unit culture, with night shift noted for good teamwork.
