Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Cudahy, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized care on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on geriatric patients, including those with cardiac, neuro, and general medical diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers Night shifts with scheduled start dates and requires a minimum of one year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin
• Shift Hours: 07:00 PM 07:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Requirements:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Experience with patients requiring NG tube placement and management, Foley placement and management, chest tube management, Pleurex and other drains, wound care, central line/ports/midline blood draws, cardiac rhythm interpretation, patient ambulation, activities of daily living, vital sign monitoring, blood sugar checks, and peripheral IV removal
  • One year of Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience required
• Schedule:
  • 12-hour shifts on a 6-week schedule cycle, scheduled approximately three weeks in advance
  • Weekend rotation every other week
  • Low census call for up to 36 hours per contract as needed
  • Holidays: 50% of holidays per contract
  • On-call may be required during low census periods
• Additional Information:
  • Scrub color should be solid, professional, with no graphics or logos
  • Parking is free for employees
  • Unit culture is supportive, with ongoing efforts to enhance engagement
  • Float: May float to other Medical Surgical units or hospital areas, but will only be assigned to Medical Surgical patients
