Job Summary:
Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) located in Saranac Lake, New York. Candidates are required to bring their certification on the first day. This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. The role includes on-call responsibilities for urgent or emergent cases. Candidates should have broad experience, especially in vascular and orthopedic surgery, and at least one year of experience in a similar capacity.

Job Details:

• Location: Saranac Lake, NY
• Specialty: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Schedule: Varying shift, Monday through Friday, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified surgical technician with at least 1 year of experience, broad surgical experience including vascular and orthopedic procedures, current certification, and the ability to scrub for vascular and orthopedic cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Vascular and orthopedic surgery experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The surgical technician acts as a scrub person, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure. The role requires collaboration with team members to ensure quality patient care during operations and participation in on-call schedule for afterhours urgent/emergent surgical cases.
