Job Summary:
The location is in Orange, California. This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) at a high-capacity acute care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized obstetric care within a high-risk, high-volume unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced.
• Required Qualifications: California license must be in hand; 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; experience in large hospital settings highly preferred; ability to perform sterile vaginal exams, high-risk delivery assistance, and vaginal delivery circulation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk pregnancies and large hospital settings.
• Additional Information: Must disclose license and background check hits upfront; no open license hits will be approved. Traveler must be willing to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Traveler must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays.
• Travel Experience & References: Travel experience required; two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are needed.
• Travel Restrictions: No first-time travelers accepted; travel pairs will not be considered; local radius is under 50 miles for consideration as local.
• Other Requirements: LA fire card within the last 30 days; must respond to past employment at Providence facilities if applicable; disclose license and background check status upon submission.
• Unit Details: The unit cares for neonates and adults with a focus on labor and high-risk obstetrics. Multidisciplinary support is present, and the unit handles a variety of high-risk pregnancy diagnoses and procedures.
