Description
Job Summary:
A Step Down Unit registered nurse position is available in Lawton, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a step down unit and must bring their Oklahoma license on the first day. This role involves providing care for patients in a specialized unit that manages conditions such as STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, and post-cardiothoracic surgery, among others. Flexibility is required as there is no block scheduling, and candidates should be prepared for a schedule that includes six weekend shifts every six weeks.
Job Details:
- Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) are required.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in a step down unit, Oklahoma state license, certifications in ACLS and NIHSS, flexible schedule without block restrictions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with CVCU/Med Surg holds and float to Med/Surg or Emergency Room units.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, allowing coverage in Med/Surg or ER to take CVCU/Med Surg holds.
- Additional Information: Candidates are expected to be flexible with scheduling, including weekend shifts. No block scheduling is permitted.
