Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) for a hospital located in Yakima, Washington. This role involves working in a busy hospital setting with multiple operating rooms, supporting various surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Yakima, Washington
• Specialty: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM or 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, depending on shift preference; minimum hours per week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (CST) or equivalent (unless has 15+ years of experience), Washington State license (must be in hand or have proof of application submitted at least 6 weeks prior), minimum of 3 years of experience in the specialty, and past scrubbing experience in specialties such as ENT, general surgery, gastrointestinal, gynecology, orthopedic, robotics (DaVinci), or urology.
• Additional Information: Unit type comprises 7 operating rooms at the main hospital and 3 at the outpatient surgery center attached to the hospital. The case types include adult and pediatric ENT, general, GI, GYN, orthopedic, robotics, and urology.
• Weekend and On-Call: Approximately one weekend per month for days, with weekends also part of regular night shift schedule. On-call duty for day shifts consists of 4-5 shifts per month from the end of shift to 7:00 AM the next day; weekend call is 24 hours.
• Scrub Color: Navy scrubs provided.
• Additional Notes: No floating requirements.
