Description

Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPD) position available in Burlington, Vermont. The role involves working at a Level 1 academic medical center with extensive experience in instrument reprocessing and sterilization, including experience with robotic systems and delicate item hand washing. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

  • Required Qualifications: 5 years of SPD experience, 1 year of experience in a level 1 academic medical center with 20 or more operating rooms, CRCST certification (HSPA) required. Facility requires HCPs to have completed a minimum of 2 travel assignments for at least 13 weeks each. Candidates must be familiar with Olympus scopes and washer, loaner trays, DaVinci Robot Xi, and delicate item hand washing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in CERCISCHL, familiarity with additional service lines including Robotics, Cardiac, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, Neuro, and others, experience with service line-specific instrument sets, and experience with various surgical equipment brands.
  • Additional Information: Candidate should be competent in Decontamination, Prep and Pack, Steam sterilization, Low temperature sterilization, and Endoscope reprocessing, including recent case pick. Bi-weekly orientations are scheduled on Mondays. All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. Work history details such as bed count, EMR, and facility type are required for submission.
