Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Level 2B Special Care Nursery position in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized neonatal care and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. The RN will work night shifts and every other weekend, with a shift schedule that includes rotating days and responsibilities for a busy nursery unit.

Job Details:

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Position: RN Level 2B Nursery
• Shift: Nights & Every Other Weekend (EOW) with a 12-hour shift schedule (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) including 1 night of call. Day rotate shifts are not included; evening and night shifts do not rotate.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Required Qualifications: BLS and NRP certifications; no prior minimum years of experience specified; candidates must have 2+ years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, 3 years working in a single location, and at least 2 years as a traveler in similar roles.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level 2B - Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care, with knowledge of EPIC electronic medical record system
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Additional Information:
  • Patient-to-clinician ratio includes 1:2-3 evaluations and magnesium or epidural management in labor and delivery, with active labor patients at 1:1.
  • The patient population includes mothers, babies, and laboring individuals, with an average census of 15-25 daily.
• Experience required: No minimum experience specified. Candidates must meet the criteria listed under required qualifications.
