Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves providing care in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Unit, which includes L&D, postpartum, neonatal, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and antepartum rooms. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position follows a night shift schedule, with rotation to evening and night shifts as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week, operating on a rotating schedule primarily during the day with rotations to evenings and nights as necessary
• Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License; at least 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, or Newborn Care; certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) (renewed every 2 years for L&D)
• Preferred Qualifications: AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Additional Information: A unit with an average daily census of 15-25 mothers and babies; utilizes EPIC electronic charting system; floating is not required; the unit includes 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, 2 operating rooms, recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum rooms with 4 beds total; clinicians care for active labor cases with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor, and postpartum ratio of 1:3-4
