Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term assignment at a healthcare facility located in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves providing care on an orthopedic trauma unit with a focus on post-operative management, blood administration, and wound care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Required Qualifications: Valid Compact license, at least 1 year of recent medical surgical with telemetry experience, proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration (including Nasal Cannula and High Flow Nasal Cannula), non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and experience with orthopedic trauma.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EMR (Epic), additional certifications related to trauma or cardiac care are beneficial.
• Schedule: Night shifts; 12 hours per shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit caring for patients with traumatic injuries, joint replacements, and COVID-19 patients intermittently. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a similar unit. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
