Job Summary:
Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS) Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Portland, Oregon. The role involves providing specialized care for pediatric patients in a pediatric PACU setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Flexibility to float between sister facilities may be expected based on operational needs.

- Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certifications Required: PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Years of Experience: 0 (minimum)
- Required Qualifications: 1 year of experience, travel experience, EMR proficiency in Epic, valid license (pending accepted)
- Additional Qualifications: Pediatric PACU experience, ability to recognize and manage dysrhythmias, administer narcotics/opioid analgesics, utilize reversal agents, provide conscious sedation, and perform pain assessment and management. Experience with Nerve Blocks, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, and RASS is preferred.
- Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Standalone pediatric surgery department in an acute care setting caring for outpatient, inpatient, PICU, and NICU pediatric patients.
- Float Requirement: Travelers may float between nearby sister facilities based on skill sets.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must have a vehicle. All scheduling requests, RTO, and holiday coverage must be requested upfront. No call-in; candidates should not contact the facility directly unless for approved interview.
- Submittal Requirements: Must confirm prior experience at a Providence facility, provide two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, and respond to questions regarding previous employment at Providence facilities.
