Description

Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nurse role is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Candidates will be responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy OR setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, with on-call responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Location: Cambridge, MA
  • Schedule: Rotating 4x10-hour shifts with specific shift times: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM, and 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM. On-call duties are every 5-6 evenings through 7:00 AM the following day, and every 6th or 7th weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse (RN) in Massachusetts that includes all licenses (past or present); current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Flu vaccination during flu season; at least 1+ year(s) of experience in operating room specialty; documenting travel experience (first-time travelers will not be considered); current Massachusetts RN license verified through NURSYS within the last week; valid drivers license matching demographics.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
  • Additional Information: Scrub color is flexible; must work every other major holiday.
  • Submission Requirements: An up-to-date resume with documented operating room experience, two recent manager/supervisor references in the specialty, skills checklist matching the specialty, drivers license with matching address, RTO details at submission, and vaccination proof.
