Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Units is needed for an assignment at a healthcare facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, caring for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes. Candidates must bring their RN license on the first day and meet the required certifications. The assignment begins on 08/03/2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Specialty: Step Down Unit
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with shift times from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Schedule: 48 hours per week, minimum
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of experience in a similar unit; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; valid driver's license (used to verify distance from the facility).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a step-down or comparable unit, strong communication skills, critical thinking ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Additional Information:
- Candidate must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization, including those linked to CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity.
- A 7-day RTO (Return to Office) is needed upfront; additional RTO requests are not approved after submission.
- The facility's cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts cancellation for assignments of 13 weeks or longer, and 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
- Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units may be required during the assignment.
- COVID-19 and artificial nails policies are in effect, and compliance is mandatory.
