Job Summary:
An operating room surgical technologist position is available in Decorah, Iowa. This full-time contract role is scheduled for a minimum of 13 weeks. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves supporting surgical procedures across various specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN), podiatry, urology, and dental surgery.

Job Details:

• Location: Decorah, Iowa
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program; State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training; surgical technologist certification preferred; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; must stay within 30 minutes of the facility when on-call.
• Schedule: Position is primarily 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with hours potentially fluctuating slightly based on surgical case load (as early as 6:00 am). The role includes an on-call rotation, approximately one night per every two-week pay period, and every fifth to sixth weekend, along with holiday call rotation.
• Additional Information: Must stay within 30 minutes of the facility when on-call; the position involves supporting surgical procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, podiatry, urology, and dental operations.
