Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Devils Lake, North Dakota, provides direct patient care within a busy emergency department setting. The role involves delivering compassionate, efficient nursing services, coordinating within an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and education. The position requires adaptability to a rotating 12-hour night shift schedule and a commitment to providing quality emergency care.

Job Details:

• Location: 1001 7TH STREET NORTHEAST, Devils Lake, North Dakota, 58301
• Shift: Rotating schedule of 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• Schedule: Rotating shift schedule; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association (AHA)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) upon qualification
• Experience Requirements: No minimum experience required (candidate should possess at least 1 year of relevant experience if applicable)
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily patient rounds ensuring quality service
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments
  • Respond promptly to patient symptoms and early warning signs of deterioration
  • Assist with emergency and adverse event interventions
  • Document observations and interventions accurately
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education early in the care process
  • Delegate nursing responsibilities within scope of practice
  • Complete all required incident reports and maintain effective communication with team members
