Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Fullerton, California. This role involves providing specialized care in the labor, delivery, and postpartum units within an acute care hospital setting. Candidates must be experienced in obstetric nursing and able to perform independently in sterile vaginal examinations and triage, adhering to hospital standards and policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP certifications, American Heart Association (AHA) approved, California nursing license or pending acceptance, open to first-timers with at least 1.5 years of experience, and ability to work every other weekend with potential to exceed depending on unit needs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Expert experience capable of performing sterile vaginal exams independently, previous experience in an acute care hospital, familiarity with Meditech charting system.
• Float: Float rotation may be required between related units, including mother-baby.
• Additional Information: Facility can call off once per two-week pay period. Must be open to working weekends, including additional shifts to meet unit requirements. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration, with a focus on obstetric patient care.
