Description
Job Summary:
A healthcare organization in Eureka, California is seeking a travel nurse for an oncology support unit. This position involves providing outpatient infusion care, managing ports, administering blood and blood products, and supporting oncology and obstetric patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, a minimum of 40 hours per week, start date 07/13/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California state nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), one year of relevant experience, and Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system proficiency.
- Certifications: BLS.
- Skills: Accessing and managing ports, administering blood and blood products, coagulation factors, antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line or implanted line care, infusion center procedures, infusion pump management, intravenous hydration/multivitamins, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs.
- Experience: 1 year of applicable clinical experience.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby; refusal to float may impact employment. Must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) are required, with documentation during the compliance process and prior to start.
