Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care at a healthcare facility in Pendleton, Oregon. This nursing role involves providing care to general medical-surgical patients with a variety of diagnoses including CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, and post-operative procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Pendleton, Oregon
  • Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) or Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Oregon RN license, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience monitoring Cpap, BiPap, high flow oxygen, and titrating drips such as Heparin or Bumex; familiarity with MEDITECH Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Additional Information: The unit maintains great staffing ratios, typically fewer than the maximum allowed. Orientation includes 3-6 shifts, with longer orientation if necessary. The unit is equipped with telemonitoring monitored by CCU staff, and tele strips are read by RNs. Floating may be required for nurses not fully cross-trained to other departments, with options to fully cross-train.
  • Emergency Licensure: An option for applying for an OR 90 Day Emergency License if the clinician does not currently possess an OR license at the time of application.
