Job Summary:
The ER (Emergency Room) Nurse position is located in College Station, Texas. This role involves providing acute care in a busy ER environment, handling a variety of patient conditions such as trauma, strokes, STEMIs, and pediatrics. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a flexible shift schedule, including 12-hour day and night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: College Station, TX
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with start times at 6:45 AM for day shifts, and midshifts beginning at 9, 11, 1, and 3 PM. The minimum hours per week are 36.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications, 2 years of ER experience preferred, but open to first-time travelers.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common ER drips such as pressors and sedation.
• Additional Information: The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments. The EMR system used is MEDITECH.
• Responsibilities: Manage ER patients including those with cardiac, stroke, trauma, pediatrics, and other acute conditions. Handle common drips, troubleshoot ventilator equipment, read telemonitor strips, and perform phlebotomy as needed. May be required to float to other units; travelers are typically the first to float and will assist where necessary.
