Description

Job Summary:
The Sacramento, California-based Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including TAVR and Mitraclip procedures, as well as some peripheral vascular interventions. The successful candidate must hold certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. Please note, candidates must meet specific credentialing and background check requirements prior to employment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Sacramento, CA
  • Shift: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three 12-hour shifts per week, up to every other weekend
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); two years of experience in cardiac catheterization or related field; valid license to submit; candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with the organization within the past year.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Merge Hemodynamics documentation for Cath Lab, and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Additional Information: Up to every other weekend; radiation badge supplied by agency; high-acuity patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures including TAVR and Mitraclip; presence of hospitalist or intensivist in-house; 24/7 RT and pharmacy support; floor-specific orientation consisting of two shifts.
  • Submission Requirements: Two supervisor references from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittal (one within 12 months and one within 3 years), copy of driver's license, and proof of completing the DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours prior to signing the contract.
