Description
Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level II trauma facility with a focus on neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, sepsis, and trauma patients. Candidates are expected to bring their license on the first day and have at least two years of relevant experience.

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours

- Float Requirements: Yes, will float as needed under the same scope of skill
- Required Qualifications: Current California license; 2+ years of experience; Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience; Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification; Epic electronic medical record experience
- Schedule: Typically every other weekend
- Additional Information: The candidate must be familiar with ventilators, tracheostomies, central lines, titrating drips, and hospital-acquired infection bundles (CAUTI/CLABSI/VAP). Responsibilities include managing vents, trachs, central lines, titrating drips, and infection control. The interview and job offer will be handled after submission of current California licensure.
