Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) registered nurse position in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with neurological conditions and trauma, including management of vents, trachs, central lines, and titrating drips. The position is scheduled for nights, with a start date of 08/11/2026, lasting for 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current California license; at least 2 years of experience in intensive care or neuro ICU; certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience; CCRN certification; EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed within the same scope of skill.
- Additional Information: The facility is a Level II trauma center, managing cases such as head injuries, cerebral bleeds, multisystem failure, and sepsis. Candidates should be familiar with hospital-acquired infection bundles (CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP).
