Description
Job Summary:
The surgical technician (OR Tech) position is located in Roseburg, Oregon. This role involves supporting surgical procedures within the operating room, primarily focused on orthopedics, general, gynecologic, robotic, and trauma cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires working 10-hour shifts on a Monday through Friday schedule, with floating between campuses as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Roseburg, OR
- Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech (ORT)
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, floating between campuses, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA certification; BLS certification; a minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical technology; Oregon license (if applicable); no specific experience requirement stated, focus on supporting surgical cases across multiple specialties
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic, general, gynecological, robotic, and trauma cases; previous float experience preferred
- Additional Information: Support for unit OR Tech suites 4 cases per day, with 15-20 cases total. Common cases include orthopedic, general, gynecologic, robotic, and trauma. Unit orientation includes 2 days of department-specific training. Scrub attire is provided. The hospital maintains a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts cancellation per 13-week assignment. Weekend and holiday call responsibilities are required, with a response time of 20-30 minutes. Weekend call occurs every 4th weekend or more if desired.
