Description

Job Summary:
The location is Bemidji, Minnesota. The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care on a Med Surg floor. The role involves providing high-quality nursing assessment, care planning, medication administration, wound care, and communication with the interdisciplinary care team. Candidates are required to bring their Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of employment. This is a rotating shift position requiring 12-hour shifts, with work scheduled every other weekend and holiday. Floating to other units/departments may be required based on operational needs.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, varied days and nights, starting on 07/20/2026, with every other weekend and holiday work required
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum
  • Required Qualifications: Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least 2 years of medical surgical (Med Surg) experience; BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopaedic (ortho) patients highly preferred; ability to monitor telepatients; experience with electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
  • Additional Information: Agency must have Minnesota Specialty Nursing Service Authorization (SNSA) license - include with candidate submission paperwork. Floating to units such as telemetry, observation, acute rehabilitation, or postpartum is possible if not needed in Med Surg; float to OB, critical care unit (CCU), or intensive care unit (ICU) may be required for overflow or patient needs and involves caring for stable postpartum mothers.
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Other Requirements: Mercury-free scrubs (Navy Blue). Candidates must note if they previously worked for the organization; if so, the prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before the submission date.
  • Additional Notes: The position involves assessment, care planning, medication administration, wound care, and communication within a team setting. The role includes managing various patient conditions, including medical, surgical, and occasionally behavioral health patients, with specific procedures as required.
  • Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
