Job Summary:
Operating Room (First Assistant) Nurse is needed for a healthcare facility located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This role requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day and involves working predominantly in the operating room assisting with various surgical procedures. The position involves rotating shifts, including four 10-hour days per week, with call responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Four 10-hour days, plus call, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 2 nights a week, and one weekend per month
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of recent experience in operating room assisting; active nursing license; experience with orthopedics, robotics, and scrubbing required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific cases such as TKA (Total Knee Arthroplasty), THA (Total Hip Arthroplasty), ORIF (Open Reduction and Internal Fixation), robotic procedures (Cholecystectomy, Hernia surgeries), cataracts, GI endoscopies, podiatry; familiarity with Cerner charting system; flexibility for occasional floating to IR (Interventional Radiology), ED (Emergency Department), or floor for extra staffing needs
• Certifications: Valid BLS, ACLS certifications required
• Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility
• Additional Information: Candidates may be scheduled for 4 days of 10 hours each, with call requirements including two nights per week and one weekend per month. Call response time is 30 minutes. Floating to additional departments may be required occasionally.
