Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a position at a healthcare facility in San Luis Obispo, California. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients during high-risk deliveries and postpartum experiences. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of shift.
Job Details:
- Location: San Luis Obispo, California
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, every other week. First to float, with rotation in postpartum and labor and delivery units.
- Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications; 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or postpartum; experience circulating for cesarean sections; ability to work with high-risk deliveries; Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency; license to submit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience is a plus.
- Additional Information:
- Unit type: L&D/P postpartum skills.
- No first-time traveler restrictions.
- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
- Aware of hospital policies for certification and vaccination requirements.
- Will work within a team, with clinical responsibilities involving high-risk deliveries at 34 weeks and above.
- Certification in advanced fetal monitoring is mandatory.
