Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Peoria, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care on a neuro medical-surgical acute unit, supporting patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, and head injury. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum one year of experience. Must have level 1 trauma experience, previous travel experience (no first-time travelers), and prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts for one shift per day, with a schedule accommodating requests, and every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
- Additional Information: Charge nurse coverage 24/7 with a house supervisor; float in rotation with staff, only performing skills compliant with their training in urgent circumstances; no scrub color requirement, tattoos covered, no piercings besides ears; orientation includes 2 days of computer and unit-specific training with a preceptor; no specific department or unit dress code.
