Job Summary:
An ICU Nurse position is available in Chandler, Arizona, within an Intensive Care Unit specializing in surgical, medical, and cardiovascular care. This role involves providing high-level critical care to patients with complex conditions such as trauma, neuro, and specialty neuro-surgery cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of three years of recent ICU experience, with at least two years in ICU settings.

- Location: Chandler, AZ

- Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours

- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification; 3 years of recent ICU experience with 2 of those in ICU.
- Schedule: Self-scheduling; shifts include three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule. Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday; dayshift weekends are Saturday - Sunday.
- Credentialing & Certifications: Candidates must be willing to interpret their own telemetry strips and titrate titratable drips such as Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, and others.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Care for trauma, neuro, cardiovascular, and specialty neuro-surgery patients, including post-operative care, trauma cases, Sepsis, COVID-19, ARDS, and vascular surgeries.
- Equipment & Monitoring: Use of Ventilators (Dreager, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60s Bipap, Airvo); GE monitors for telemetry.
- Additional Notes: Candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule; no full-time, part-time, or PRN status with any facility associated with CommonSpirit or its affiliates within the past year.
- Policy: May be canceled up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; up to 3 shifts may be canceled for shorter assignments.
- Other: May have one holiday off; no call or standby shifts required; float to sister units may be necessary.
