Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. This acute care role involves providing specialized care to patients in a Level 1 trauma center's step-down unit. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing complex medical conditions and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with weekends and holidays as scheduled; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; ACLS and BLS certifications; willing to wait to submit license; ability to interpret EKGs and titrate drips such as cardizem, labetalol, and amiodarone; experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to perform strong patient assessments; adaptable to fast-paced work environment; experience with chronic ventilator-dependent patients and patients requiring in-ceeiling lifts and monitor tech support
• Additional Information: The unit has 24 step-down beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 and provides advanced monitoring including in-ceiling lifts, ventilators, and telehealth technology. The team includes dedicated charge nurses, house supervisors present 24/7, and staffed nurse aides. The unit emphasizes continuous learning and professional growth for seasoned and new graduate nurses alike.
