Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Units is needed at a healthcare facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing care to post-surgical thoracic and medicine patients, with a focus on titrating drips and interpreting strips. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position is scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, with weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Details:

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, NIHSS Certification, 2 years of experience in MedSurg Step Down experience, able to titrate drips and read strips, minimum of 0 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong MedSurg Stepdown experience, ability to titrate drips, read EKG strips
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for stepdown and 1:4 for combo assignments
  • No ventilators, but BIPAP and trach care available
  • RNs interpret and chart rhythms Q4 hours or more frequently with medication titration
  • Centralized telemetry monitors patient EKG rhythm interpretation
  • Dress code: Royal Blue
  • Unit orientation: 3 shifts of department-specific training
  • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
  • Willing to wait for license submission
  • Travelers must work holidays if needed
