Description

Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Bemidji, Minnesota. The role involves providing comprehensive care in a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting postpartum, antepartum, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of OB/L&D experience, and the schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts including every third weekend.

Job Details:

  • Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, variable days including weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP certifications; 2 years OB/L&D experience; EPIC experience; ability to float to Med-Surg & Tele; willingness to work nights and weekends; experience with EPIC One Chart EMR; equipment knowledge including Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, and Medula Breast Pumps.
  • Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification; previous experience working in a Labor and Delivery or postpartum setting with an understanding of AWHONN staffing standards.
  • Additional Information: Unit utilizes EPIC One Chart EMR, Omnicell, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call light system, and Medfusion Pumps. Support staff includes ward clerks, CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, and LPNs. Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN standards, with 1:3 mom/baby couplets, 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg patients, and 1:3-4 pediatrics. Orientation includes equipment and unit training, and all clinicians must badge in and out at the facility. Clinicians are required to wear navy blue scrubs.
  • Notes: Candidates must provide good interview times in their submission. If they have previously worked at the organization, the prior employment end date must be at least six months before the current submission date.
