Job Summary:
A registered nurse position is available in Artesia, New Mexico, at a medical-surgical unit with a focus on telemetry and progressive care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves providing patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing drips, reading tele strips, and maintaining intubation when necessary. The position is scheduled for day shifts, and candidates must have at least three years of medical-surgical telemetry experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Artesia, NM
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, minimum three years of medical-surgical telemetry experience, one year of relevant experience, ability to read and interpret tele strips, proficiency with telemonitoring systems, and in-house respiratory therapy support.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown units, familiarity with CPSI and TruBridge electronic charting systems, ability to manage intravenous drips such as insulin, amiodarone, and levofed, and experience maintaining intubation.
• Additional Information: May be asked to participate in holiday rotation. No float requirement. The unit includes CNA support with a patient ratio of 1:8 and staff nurses capable of managing various clinical tasks. The facility is working toward becoming a Level IV hospital.
