Description

Job Summary:
The emergency room registered nurse position is located in Omaha, Nebraska. Candidates must possess a current driver's license and are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment at a Level I Trauma Center, providing care for trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, strokes, and other critical conditions. The position requires candidates to have a minimum of two years of emergency room experience.

Job Details:

  • Location: Omaha, Nebraska
  • Minimum Experience: 0 years
  • Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
  • Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts between 0700-1900, 0900-2100, 1100-2300, 1500-0300, or 1900-0700
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 48 hours
  • Start Date: 08/03/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license at submission; valid certifications as listed; Open book skills exam with a 90% passing score during orientation; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips; recent ER experience of at least 2 years; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; floating to additional units at least once a week; physical policies including artificial nail restrictions; RTO requests must be made upfront for within 7 days of the 13-week contract, with no additional RTO approvals permitted after submission.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must pass a skills exam during orientation. The environment is fast-paced with high patient acuity. Candidate must be willing to float to other units, such as the observation (OBS) unit and a freestanding ER, at least once a week.
