Description
Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse specializing in Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is sought for a position in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing specialized critical care to post-surgical and ICU patients, including trauma, transplant, vascular, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic/neurosurgical cases. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position offers a daytime shift, with scheduled weekend work and on-call responsibilities.
Job Details:

- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Start Date: 07/20/2026
- Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS certification, at least 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience, and at least 2 previous travel assignments in ICU settings. Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, Critical Care Certification, Trauma Course, ACLS
- Schedule: Weekend shifts involve 3 out of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule, with 2 on-call availability calls during the schedule, as well as as-needed holiday coverage.
- Additional Information: Candidates with previous employment in any Johns Hopkins facility (staff, PRN, or travel) must have this noted on the coversheet and in the work history for rehire verification. Candidates must be away at least 1 full year if they wish to reapply as a traveler after prior employment. Float rotation may be required to areas with similar skill sets.
