Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), in a specialized CVICU unit with 28 beds and a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and have at least two years of relevant ICU experience. The scheduled shifts are rotating 12-hour days and nights, with weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license (willing to wait), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum 2 years of ICU experience in cardiovascular patient care, proficiency in reading ECG strips, experience with critical care drips including inotropes and sedation, and CRRT experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred.
• Schedule: Days, Nights, Rotating shifts; weekends (minimum of 3 "S" days) and holidays scheduled as part of the rotation; weekends are exempt from Monday work requirement.
• Additional Information: The unit is staffed with one charge nurse and two house supervisors, with intensivists and advanced practice providers available 24/7. RTs are in ICU 24/7, and RNs must be capable of reading ECG strips and recognizing rhythm changes. Telemetry techs support rhythm monitoring. The unit also incorporates staff with float capability and requires adherence to specific orientation and cancellation policies.
