Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Reston, Virginia. This position involves providing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including circulating for cesarean sections and managing IV drips such as magnesium. The role requires experience in a fast-paced womens health environment and the ability to work within a level III neonatal intensive care unit. The shift schedule includes nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses); Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Virginia state RN licensure; at least 3 years of experience in labor and delivery or a similar womens health setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with scrub roles and circulating in operating room settings
- Additional Information:
- Experience with procedures such as cesarean sections, epidurals, blood patches, spinals, cerclage, and version.
- Competency in documentation systems: Meditech, CPNS.
- Hospital supplies scrubs as dress code.
- Floating within womens and childrens service line may be required.
