Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Utica, New York. This position requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment. The role involves providing advanced nursing care in a unit that manages neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory cases, including conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative patients.

Job Details:

  • Location: Utica, New York
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
  • Hours: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid and active New York RN license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. At least 2 years of experience in IMCU or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Candidates must submit an up-to-date resume documenting travel experience, along with a skills checklist matching the specialty. Licenses verification must include all active RN licenses. Candidates must include round-the-clock RTO (Request for Time Off) at the time of submission. EMR experience required with proficiency in EPIC. A valid drivers license matching the candidates address demographics and documentation confirming travel experience are necessary.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with specialty equipment such as Temp pacers, Chest tubes, Arterial lines (A-lines), Bipap, and Neptune Vapo.
  • Additional Information: Floating staff is required for this role. Scrub color is Navy Blue. Candidates should be familiar with common diagnoses including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
