Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is sought for a healthcare facility located in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This position involves delivering comprehensive patient care within the obstetrics department, adhering to hospital policies and maintaining the highest standards of service. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Current certification in American Academy of Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). Recent obstetrics (OB) experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in the role of charge nurse and computerized nursing informatics. Experience in patient care, staff orientation and teaching. CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification is preferred.
- Additional Information: Successful passage of the organizations Pharmacology exam. Documented proof of attendance at Fetal Monitor Course every 2 years (Intermediate or Advanced). Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
