Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery (L&D) is sought for a facility located in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a Level I nursery and labor and delivery unit that handles low-risk pregnancies and postpartum patients. The candidate must bring their license on the first day and be prepared to work a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lebanon, PA
  • Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate (required), and NICU certifications preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery with EPIC charting system experience required
  • Qualifications: Valid RN license (no license hits accepted), at least 2 years of experience in obstetrical nursing, proficiency in EPIC EMR system, experience with complex obstetric procedures, and travel experience required
  • Patient Care: Care for neonates and adults, including one-on-one obstetric and postpartum care, assistance with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum teaching, and handling of obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, and fetal distress
  • Procedures & Skills: Administration of blood products, fetal monitoring, epidural anesthesia, sterile exams, vacuum and forceps deliveries, neonatal assessments, and use of advanced equipment such as intrauterine pressure catheters and external fetal monitors
  • Additional Details: Candidates must be able to care for COVID-19 patients as needed, with all vaccinations including COVID-19 and flu vaccines required. The facility is tobacco and fragrance-free; notification prior to submission is recommended.
  • Call & Weekend Requirements: Call is required; weekend coverage is guaranteed, with a patient ratio of 4 on nights and weekends. RTO (Request for Time Off) should be minimized to 7 days maximum.
