Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) units is needed for a healthcare facility location in Athens, Tennessee. The position involves working on a Medical/Surgical Floor and requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day. This role is scheduled for night shifts, with an emphasis on providing compassionate and efficient patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: Athens, TN
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Position: RN, Medical/Surgical Floor
• Number of Openings: 1
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure in Tennessee, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, at least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care thinking skills, experience with common diagnoses such as pneumonia, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), cerebral palsy (CP), post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
• Additional Information: All clinical staff on assignment in Tennessee must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to the start date; results are required prior to start. The facility's patient load currently maxes at 18 patients, expanding to 24. Equipment used includes bladder scanners and glucometers, with the electronic health record system being Medhost.
